ADF was contracted by Hoffman Construction Company for the structural steel fabrication and installation required for the Colman Dock renovation. Colman Dock is the busiest ferry terminal in Washington and one of the busiest in the world. Aging and seismically vulnerable wood piles and trestle foundation were replaced with steel for strength and longevity.
Scheduled for completion in 2023, the project will add an Overhead Loading and Walkway, an 8,500 SF King County Passenger-Only Ferry Building, and a new 23,000 SF Terminal Building for Washington State Ferries, with LEED Silver certification.
