Steel Pedestals of The New York Wheel New York, NY

ADF was contracted to fabricate and coat the four 100-ton pedestals for this large 630-foot-high Ferris wheel. This was a sizable challenge due to the complex engineering and amount of welding required for each pedestal. In addition, the massive weight of each piece required that they be transported by barge from Montreal to New York along the Hudson River.

Once completed, the New York Wheel will be the world’s largest Ferris wheel, offering stunning views of New York City to 30,000 visitors daily.
