The Carrier Dome is a covered stadium inaugurated in 1980 located on the Syracuse University campus in New York State. It seats 49,250 and is a venue for Syracuse Orange football and basketball games. The project, announced in May 2016, consists of replacing the dome roof over the stadium. Its inauguration is planned for fall 2020.

ADF’s mandate includes construction, connection engineering, fabrication, and coating, as well as installation of the beams and trusses that hold the cables supporting the dome.
We had several challenges to meet, the most significant of which were the size of the box girders and the extremely strict tolerances for installing the compression ring. To guarantee success in respecting these tolerances, we tested our products in our shop by assembling four to five arched truss segments at a time.
