This contract presented particularly interesting challenges for the ADF team because of the complex geometry and original architectural style of this significant cultural and artistic center in the United States. This 45,987-square-meter (495,000-square-foot) center is composed of two main buildings linked by an outdoor pedestrian bridge.
ADF was mandated to fabricate and install the 9,700 tons of structural steel and architectural and miscellaneous metals that were needed for this project, including the concert hall’s fourteen 40-ton central trusses and the ballet theater’s eighteen trusses weighing nearly 65 tons. This project took place over a two-year period.
