This two-phase contract included the work of designing and engineering connection, supplying steel, and fabricating the structural steel for the canopy over Terminal 1 at the airport.
Fabricating this canopy required a total of 2,600 tons of steel and included built-up columns, heavy steel box girders and cantilevered steel-plated flanges. ADF’s team was also mandated to carry out one of our largest trial assemblies, inside our plant, to validate the assembly and stability of this oversized and heavy steel built-up. ADF’s plant was especially designed to allow for such complex and highly precise work.
